2021 RFI

The Hoffberger Family Philanthropies is inviting Letters of Inquiry to support grants up to $250,000 (targeting $50,000 to $100,000) over 12 months focused on addressing workforce development/economic mobility or improving children’s mental health in greater Baltimore. The Hoffberger Family Philanthropies is committed to meeting unmet needs in Baltimore. While our funding cannot eradicate the effects of poverty and racism, we hope to identify partners in building toward such a future for Baltimore.

We specifically encourage organizations and projects led by Black, indigenous, and/or people of color. To be eligible, applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or have a Fiscal Sponsor. Grant funds must serve those living in the greater Baltimore region.

Letters of Inquiry are due by COB (5 p.m. ET) on Friday, February 19, 2021. Selected organizations will be invited to submit full proposals beginning in mid-March. The first round of grant awards will be announced this summer. Requests may be used for general operating support or for a specific project.
