Mental Health and Trauma
In 2021, the Foundation implemented its most recent strategic plan by funding children’s mental health and trauma programs for families living in Greater Baltimore, which is driven by a desire to help young people navigate violence within their communities. In 2026, in partnership with the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and our community partners, we refined the portfolio to more broadly support mental health and trauma for Greater Baltimore residents as we continue learning more about the impact of adverse childhood events (ACEs) and trauma as a result of community violence and/or domestic violence/neglect, particularly those disengaged from system supports.
