Children’s Mental Health and Trauma

Since 2021, the Foundation has focused on funding children’s mental health and trauma programs for families living in greater Baltimore, which is driven by a desire to help young people navigate violence within their communities. In partnership with the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and our community partners, we are learning more about the impact of adverse childhood events (ACEs) and trauma as a result of community violence and/or domestic violence/neglect. As a result, we are currently focused on affecting behavioral health for children and their families, which includes disconnected youth, particularly those disengaged from system supports.

However, as the Foundation continues to learn about what communities require through our community partners and the CAC, we look forward to supporting their efforts and others working within this ecosystem.

Please see a list of current grantees and read more about them in our news release.
